# FoxHome

> FoxHome is a Hungarian smart-home company (a brand of Greentechnic Solar Kft., Budapest). It designs, installs and then maintains smart-home systems for new-build apartments, existing homes and whole apartment buildings (társasház), built on Home Assistant and running locally in the building, so the home keeps working without the internet. The website is in Hungarian.

A project can be a single flat, a family house or a whole residential building. One system covers the flat and the building's shared services. The work includes engineering the wired, wireless or mixed network and integrating devices from any manufacturer and standard (Zigbee, Matter and Thread, Z-Wave, KNX, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 433 MHz) into one interface. After handover, the same team keeps every system updated and supported.

## What FoxHome does

- [Az otthon (the flat)](https://foxhome.hu/#otthon): heating and cooling per room (heat pump, split AC, underfloor heating, radiators), shading (blinds and awnings by time, sun and wind), lighting scenes including LED strips, energy monitoring per device, circuit or whole house, with large loads such as the boiler, washing machine or EV charger run on own solar power or the cheaper tariff. Also security (cameras, alarm panel, door and window sensors, recordings stored locally), the video intercom on the hall screen or the phone, and wellness (start the jacuzzi or sauna on the way home).
- [A társasház (the building)](https://foxhome.hu/#tarsashaz): the car gate opens by number-plate recognition or a tap on the car's display; keyless entry by NFC key, phone, PIN or face recognition, with timed guest access; a video intercom answered from the flat or the phone; shared EV chargers and shared rooms (storage, bike room) with consumption billed per flat and access granted per resident or guest; residents get notices about meetings and maintenance on their phones.
- [Helyben fut (runs locally)](https://foxhome.hu/#helyben): the system's brain is a Home Assistant server in a locked rack cabinet in the building, not in the cloud. Critical parts such as the floor-heating thermostats and the wired wall switches keep working on their own. The internet is only needed for remote access and updates.
- [Üzemeltetés (after handover)](https://foxhome.hu/#uzemeltetes): updates are tested on FoxHome's own test systems first and rolled out in stages; flats with the same floor plan get the same proven configuration; handover training, remote support and restore from backup.
- [Eszközök (devices)](https://foxhome.hu/#eszkozok): controlled from any smartphone, common smartwatches, the car's dashboard, a wall tablet or a web browser.
